Torridon

This year's LUUHC UK Summer hiking trip will be to Torridon in NW Scotland!

We will be staying in Kinlochewe Village Hall, and there are 46 massive rocky "Munros" nearby (Scottish mountains over 3000ft/914m). This trip will involve five days of more arduous hiking, with the opportunity for more technical scrambles and longer mega-hikes, in comparison to weekend trips. Additionally, this is the summer solstice week, and so there will be over 18 hours of sunlight that far north: this could allow for several huge Munro-bagging days!

Because this trip will involve more strenous hikes, if you'd like to attend, we recommend that you've previously attended a LUUHC weekend trip, or have equivalent hiking experience. We also recommend that you have a reasonable level of fitness for potentially demanding and steep hikes, which will take 5+ hours on each of the five days. If you're unsure as to whether this applies to you, feel free to get in contact with a current member of committee to discuss

The trip will be departing the university at 9am on the Tuesday and will return late Sunday night
